Probably the city of blinding lights doesn't exist but in our imaginary as a outopy, a non-locus, where we fly of our minds to find a shelter...everyone can shape it in oneself city or another one...I am Italian, I don't figure it in any Italian city, probably because I am not patriotic or because I project this concept far from my country, in quest of freedoom, where I think it exist

This song convey a great feeling of freedoom, as it gave me strenght to fight till the end to escape from the state of oppresion of the modern fellow!
I'd like to listen to it as I walk throughtout Paris or New York, all alone, far from Italy!

why ''country of blinding lights = usa'', Derunbeugsame38? Bono does not say that in this song man. You're very patriot, i understand, but you can't say that everything is USA, come on. Just because u2'd made this clip on your contry, it doesn't means they're refering to your country.I'm bad, i know XD.

Bush has the blood of innocents on his hands!! Yes he had a good personality, as a good old boy, but in reality he has almost destroyed this country. Thank God for Obama, he is going to do his best to help us! Thank-God for Bono too!! I love him as a great person!

Thank-you; a voice of reason! I love your comment, as I love both Obama and Bono. They are both wonderful people that genuinely care about others; it is not just about them!
