The source of all life on earth, EVERY SECOND the sun converts five million tons of mass into energy. That's the equivalent of ONE MILLION years of human energy consumption (circa 2000 figures). The energy produced in the sun's core (as it slowly consumes itself) takes one million years to reach the surface where some of it is emitted into space. It is the source of almost all energy and movement (including all life) on earth. Yet the sun emits enough energy to supply 2.2 BILLION earths with life giving energy! As our yellow sun very slowly burns itself out ("bleeds itself dry"), from the skin/surface of the sun, all the energy (that fueled life, evolution, and the conversion of mud, air, and water into our beautiful skin and bones), drawing a straight line to us, jumped across 93 million miles for you! In a sense, we are mud, air, & water, mixed together with (energized by) yellow (sun energy). We are transformed sun energy, children/offspring of the sun, so to speak: We are all Yellow. It's as if Coldplay is the sun singing us a loving lullaby. It would be nice to think that Coldplay had some of this in mind when they wrote "Yellow" ;-)

I hadn't meditated lately on the all the life that the sun gives us. A lonely tear rolls down my face thinking about the immense sacrifice the Sun makes to gives us its life, so we can live. If it wasn't for the Sun, it's warmth & light, Life on earth would be impossible and as the Sun "dies", its death is not in vain, as it shares with us its own life-giving force. George Carlin said if he were to worship something, it'd b the Sun. Most people r way too busy living their lives to say: thx sun!

I wonder why we called our star "Sun" lol! there are much cooler names that we gave to other stars but to our.... crap :D

The Sun is g-d. :o /bow to Sun. It's quite amusing that christians are worshipping the Sun of g-d and not even knowing it; brainwashing at it's best, I suppose. But I wouldn't oppose a new religion centered on the 'worshipping' of the Sun, Universe possibly, if it could unite the human species under the banner of rationality and humanism. :)

It is like the asphalt in the road, it is permeating the whole thing. You observe this easily. One of the two who promoted the BB idea was a 'high-up' in the catholic church, the other .. well he sendt the first print of his book about BB to the pope..

The Big Bang theory sort of defies the consept of eternity and infinity, whereas the Plasmauniverse/Electric Universe consept doesn't... The BB theory is a product of religious people with a need to put God in a cage.
